About the initiatives

E4Impact Kenya is a firm believer in and supporter of the startup, entrepreneurship, and innovation ecosystem. Over time, we have orchestrated various initiatives to support the system; such as being a founding member of the Association of Start-ups and SME Enablers of Kenya (ASSEK). E4I Kenya is also a member of the Kenya Association of Country-wide Hubs, of which its three hubs in the rural counties of Isiolo, Laikipia, and West Pokot are part. Further, E4Impact Kenya runs events to showcase innovations and entrepreneurial efforts and build dialogues and best practice sharing among the Kenyan, African and International start-up space; as well as investing in the start-up scene through its equity revolving fund. Some of the key ecosystem initiatives that E4Impact Kenya has been; and is currently engaged in are:

Strengthening Kenya's Innovation Ecosystem (SKIES)

Aims to enhance the ecosystem infrastructure by building the capacity of intermediaries such as incubators, accelerators, and technology boot camp providers.

GAIN_Nutrition Impact at Scale

E4Impact is in a collaboration with ASSEK (Association of Startup and SMEs Enablers of Kenya) and GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition) to provide technical assistance to Agri - food SMEs through the Nutrition Impact.

This is an Innovation challenge targeting young people with innovative solutions in the agriculture sector. The challenge which was launched on 15th May and whose call for application closed on 30th June is funded by Mastercard Foundation.
