AMAYA RangER

About the Project

This is a Rangelands Ecosystem Services Productivity (RangER) Programme, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented as a collaboration between 5 distinct technical partners; with Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) functioning as the lead organization and then E4impact Foundation, the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, the World Agroforestry (ICRAF) and Community Safety Initiative Kenya – along with the four AMAYA Counties of Samburu, Baringo, Laikipia and Isiolo. This innovative & collaborative effort aims to reduce poverty in these counties by increasing the productivity of ecosystem services offered by rangelands.

As a partner, E4Impact Foundation is working, through the Kenya Center, to strengthen key feed and food natural resource-based value chains in the Amaya Region. The value chains include honey, fodder, aloe-vera, livestock among others
