Subject: Consultancy for printing of training materials(workbooks and manuals) for dairy producer groups.


E4Impact Foundation is part of a consortium implementing The Economic Recovery to The Impact of Covid-19 on Agri-Food Value Chain in Kenya Project. This is a three (3) years project funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). The other implementing Partners are AVSI Foundation and the local County Governments of Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Embu.

The goal of the project is to improve the socio-economic status and recovery of a minimum of 15,000 smallholder dairy farmers from thirty (30) selected producer-farmer groups in the three (3) counties by enhancing Agri-Producer Cooperatives/groups to increase production, job creation, incomes, and food security. Essentially, the project has the following three key objectives:

  1. Production and income levels of smallholder farmers rebuilt and restored.
  2. Agri-Producers Cooperatives leadership, management, accountability, storage, and processing capacity reinforced.
  • Access to structure in-put and out-put market, coordination, and networking of Agri-food value chain actors improved.

Objective of the consultancy

This consultancy aims to engage a company to print the training materials (workbooks and training manuals) for the dairy producer groups’ training.

Scope of work

The short-term contract will identify the proposed methods for the printing. Under the supervision and in close consultation with the E4impact Foundation team the company will implement the following specifications for printing:


1440 workbooks each contains 30 pages (including cover and back page) with tape or spiral binding

180 training manuals each contains 50 pages Size: A4 Size Paper coloured.

 The design of the materials is available and it will be shared with the selected company. The draft of the design will be shared by the E4Impact Foundation project team and discussed for any review.  


The selected company will need to deliver printed material within two weeks on signing of the contract.


  • Strong experience and track record in printing
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and an ability to provide the best quality compared to the price.
  • Ability to work under the timelines stated on the contract.
  • Ability to be timely in communication with the contracting organization to meet the requirements.

Deadline and submission of the expression of interest

Interested companies or organizations to submit the following documents by 19th June 2024.

  • Expression of interest (EoI) outlining how the expert meets the selection criteria and their understanding of the ToR.
  • Names and contacts of three recent professional referees (previous clients) for whom similar work has been contacted.
  • Evidence of similar pieces of work completed recently.
  • Itemized financial proposal.
